Since I wasn’t able to post on our “Wednesday Wardrobe” post, here is a few shots of a new fave dress of mine that is super comfortable! My sister, Jackie is modeling it for me since I am still gross from the surgery. This dress came from Nordstrom.

Thursday Book Talk: An Abundance of Katherines

If you are wanting to read something light-hearted and full of comedic relief, then An Abundance of Katherines by John Green is the book for you. I picked up this book the last time I was at Barnes and Noble, mainly because I had read John Green’s The Fault in Our Stars (loved it) and I really liked the look of the cover of this book. I know that’s weird, but in some cases, I actually do judge a book by its cover.

Now, there is no ugly crying in this book (which is what I did in The Fault in Our Stars), but it is definitely an interesting read. The main character, Colin Singleton, just got dumped by his girlfriend, Katherine, who was the nineteenth Katherine in his life. He has a thing for girls named Katherine and they all have a thing for dumping him. Colin is very smart and is constantly anagramming (rearranging letters in a word to form another word or phrase) every word he hears. He is bummed about being dumped, so he and his best friend, Hassan, decide to go on a road trip and wind up in Gutshot, Tennessee. I love the dry humor between Colin and Hassan. I laughed out loud more than a few times. They meet a girl named Lindsey and begin working for her mother, who owns a factory in the very small town of Gutshot. Colin starts working on a mathematical theory that will predict the outcome of all romantic relationships. Along his journey, he finds that sometimes not all relationships can be predicted and that he has more worth than he gives himself credit for.

Has anyone else read this one? What did you think?!

I am headed to the beach today, so be sure to check out our Instagram to see some beach happenings! Jess is still on the mend from her surgery, so keep her in your prayers!

Happy reading!

Wednesday Wardrobe: Cute, Comfy Outfits

We are feeling refreshed and excited and ready to share our Wednesday Wardrobe with you! We thought we would share a few comfy yet adorable outfits that can be worn for any occasion. Jess is still a bit sore so she was unable to show off her outfits, but she will be back for next week’s wardrobe post! 🙂

Ashley’s Style

I found this jumpsuit (similar here and here) at Banana Republic Factory in November when I was at the beach for a wedding. It was on clearance for next to nothing (like $20) marked down from the original price of $100. I had been wanting a black jumpsuit and was so excited to have found this one and for such a cheap price. I am thinking about wearing it to a wedding this summer! What do you think? It’s different but classy and dressy at the same time. And not to mention comfortable!

I could not pass up this floral romper from Gap! Plus it was on sale! (Similar one here) I love anything floral and thought this would be perfect to wear on my upcoming beach trip. The fit is great and it is just the right length. I can’t stand when things are too short and with me being tall, I run into that problem a lot. Can’t wait to wear this one!

shoeless for this outfit 🙂

I also did a little online Memorial Day shopping and found this striped knit romper from J. Crew Factory for $29.50 plus free shipping! This is perfect to throw on for a day or night on the town!

Who else is a fan of rompers? Jumpsuits?

Happy Wednesday!

We’re Still Here!

We have not jumped ship! We said a few weeks ago that school was winding down and have been super busy, which is true, and then last week I also had to have my gallbladder removed and have been under the weather for a bit. It has not been the easiest recovery, and I often questioned why I did this to myself. But luckily, I have the greatest family and friends to help me through! Thanks to everyone who texted, called and prayed! Also, a big shout out to my mom who has had to put up with me for these past few days. She hasn’t had a good nights sleep in awhile because I keep waking her up with my demands of pain pills and my hypochondriac freak-outs. So thankful for you!

The beautiful flowers Ashley and our friends Abby, Amy, Julie, and Jordan sent me!

The best potato soup my friend Brandy made to nurse me back to health!

Hopefully, things are looking up and we can get back on track to putting up some regular posts!

TWP Playlist #2

Hello and Happy Friday! As we continue to wind down the school year, we wanted to share our second playlist with everyone. We listen to these songs on the way to school, as we are running out of leaving school, or just when we feel like jamming out. We are soooo ready to be lying by a pool and listening to them! Who’s with us?! Enjoy!
